·        Banks will need to establish new units to deal with NPL strategies. ·        While it has been stated that the obligation to collect the documents requested by banks from loan customers whose total risk is above the amount determined by the Board in the banking sector will be required only from customers under surveillance, loans can be extended to customers within this scope for the first time, provided that the independent audit process is documented. ·        The said obligation was postponed to January 1, 2022, providing convenience to loan customers and banks included in the liability.   At the beginning of the week, a regulation on the classification of loans was published in the Official Gazette. According to this; non-collectible loans are deleted and the ability to pay debts will be sought for existing configurations. If the result of the evaluation of the debtor's ability to repay the debt is positive, the credit debt can be restructured. The purpose of the regulation is to strengthen the capacity of banks to manage loans on balance sheets, to improve collection processes and bad debt management of banks. At the same time, it will also have functionality in terms of separating bad receivables arising from unpaid debts originating from zombie companies from assets, transferring them to AMCs and following related procedures. At the same time, it can contribute to banks' risk assessment management in new loan exits. Kaynak Tera Yatırım
